Case Study – Warringa Park School, Victoria, 2020

Protective Intervention Training with Team T each has helped our staff understand that it is not all about how to physically protect yourself when a student is in crisis, but rather how critical understanding the signs and communicative behaviours that are shown prior is, in order to support positive behaviour change.

Team Teach is a highly effective, professional course. Through well delivered sessions, our staff were able to discover key steps in supporting our students that will help them to remain calm. We have seen a positive impact on the way our staff not only monitor situations of crisis, but how they work on building strategies to prevent this stage.

The impact on our Behaviour Support plans has been incredibly positive, there has been a marked improvement in the structure of these plans. We have also seen more well rounded vocabulary being used in incident reports and staff having increased confidence to support a wider range of students.
