The Level Two – 12 Hour certificate is preferred, and more appropriate for individuals who wish to teach the Level Two – 12 Hour course in special service settings (e.g. children’s homes, special schools and units, hospitals etc).
Those who achieve a full pass will be accredited to deliver both the Level One – 6 Hour and Level Two – 12 Hour Positive Behaviour Support Courses, as a lead trainer, to employees of their single employer, within permitted trainer ratios. (A minimum of two trainers are required for staff training events for any number of participants up to 24.)
Accreditation lasts for 12 months. Reaccreditation is required within the 12-month period to ensure you’re qualified to continue to deliver training.
If the confidence or competence levels of a participant require more time and support, an ‘assist’ pass may be awarded, allowing individuals to assist on Level One – 6 Hour, Level Two – 12 Hour and refresher courses that are delivered for their employer.
